Swanand Kulkarni is a seasoned Project Manager with over 15 years of experience in delivering high-quality software products to clients. He is currently serving as a Scrum Master and Product Owner at Hexaware Technologies, where he is responsible for ensuring that the company delivers a bug-free software product to its customers. Swanand has extensive experience in the financial domain and is well-versed in different agile methodologies, product management, and design thinking. At Hexaware Technologies, Swanand is working with one of the Big 4 accounting firms under the Transaction Advisory group. He has handled the project initiation phase as a project manager and transitioned to the Product Owner role due to his past financial domain knowledge and related expertise. He is responsible for handling business requirements, creating wireframes/UI mock-ups, creating a product roadmap, documenting user stories, and performing UAT. He ensures that a healthy prioritized product backlog is maintained and acts as a liaison between the development team, performance, and Infosec teams. Swanand is adept at simplifying complex business requirements for the dev team using narrative and storytelling techniques. Swanand has previously worked at Morningstar, where he was the QA Team Lead/QA Manager. He set up a team of QA resources (manual & automation) to support the development efforts and implemented automated functional, integration, and performance tests using open-source tools like Selenium with BDD framework, JMeter, Site speed, WebLoad, etc. He adhered to and ensured the implementation of agile practices, estimated the QA efforts for identified work items during sprint planning meetings, and closely worked with development to understand the efforts required for better implementation. Swanand has a degree in Electronics Engineering from Dr. D.Y.Patil C.O.E and a Diploma in Electronics & Telecommunication from K.B.P Polytechnic. He is currently pursuing a Nanodegree in Product Management from Udacity. His technical skills include QA, test, UI, product management, Selenium, Jenkins, integration, and SDET.
